Huazhu Group reported its third quarter 2022 results recently. The data showed that the Group's net revenue for the third quarter was CNY4.09 billion (USD 578 million), an increase of 16.2% compared to the same period last year.

The group opened 430 new hotels in the third quarter, with 8,402 hotels in operation worldwide, up 13% year-on-year; its hotel revenue reached CNY 15.2 billion in the third quarter, up 24.4% year-on-year.
Despite the impact of multiple factors in the third quarter, the results of Huazhu saw a full recovery, with RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), OCC (occupancy rate) and ADR (average daily rate) rising across the board, driven by summer leisure travel demand in July and August and the gradual recovery of business travel demand in September.
In the third quarter, Huazhu China's RevPAR was CNY193, up 9.1% year-on-year, having recovered to 90% of 2019 overall; its ADR reached CNY 254, up 3.4% from the same period in 2019, and its OCC reached 76%, up 4.2 percentage points year-on-year.
In addition, Huazhu's overseas business grew strongly, with DH Hotels Group's RevPAR increasing 57.2% year-on-year, recovering to 102% in 2019.
