Beijing Aquiferre Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Aquiferre") recently announced the completion of multi-million yuan A+ round financing led by Renai Capital and Huimei Capital, with Bai Rong Capital serving as the exclusive financial advisor for this round of financing. The funds raised will be utilized for continuous development of AIoT applications for medical equipment, deepening cooperation with leading companies in the industry, and facilitating cost reduction and efficiency improvement for medical institutions and equipment industry.
According to its official website, Aquiferre was founded in 2016, focusing on the development of IoT infrastructure for medical equipment, as well as digital operational management platforms and innovative applications. Targeting medical institutions, Aquiferre provides an integrated platform for digital operational management of medical equipment, offering services such as operation and maintenance quality control, benefit analysis, procurement decision-making, and research transformation. For after-sales service providers, Aquiferre offers a digital operation service platform for medical equipment, providing data services such as equipment fault warning and remote diagnosis through cloud platforms and SaaS services.
Since 2020, Aquiferre has collaborated with medical institutions such as Peking Union Medical College Hospital to build and deploy a smart management platform for medical equipment based on IoT digital twin technology. By 2023, the application of the company's AIoT technology has expanded from radiology, ultrasound, life support, and endoscopy equipment to laboratory equipment, medical electric knives, and ultrasonic scalpels, with a category coverage rate exceeding 80%. Currently, the company has obtained multiple national invention patents and intellectual property rights, serving more than 1,400 medical institutions, including nearly 20 tertiary hospitals, covering 26 provinces and municipalities nationwide, and managing over 3,000 pieces of equipment.
Aquiferre founder Peng Qibin told the media that the current imbalance between supply and demand of high-quality medical resources in China has led traditional approaches to productivity enhancement to encounter bottlenecks. In this context, there is an urgent need to transition to a multiplication approach, namely digital management mode. In his view, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things are essential digital infrastructure and more cost-effective for managers. In the future, Aquiferre will continue to expand the application of AIoT technology to support the development of the medical equipment industry.
