According to Sensor Tower, in July 2020, Douyin and the overseas version of TikTok attracted more than USD 102 million in the global App Store and Google Play, which is 8.6 times that of July last year, and once again won champion on the global mobile application (non-game) revenue list.
YouTube ranked second on the list with more than USD 76.8 million US dollars in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 43.8%. American users contributed 54% of revenue, followed by Japanese users, accounting for 12%.
The other three apps in the top five on the list are Tinder, Tencent
Video and iQiyi.
