At 1:19 p.m. local time on January 28, the Nanyue crater of yingdao volcano in Kagoshima, Kyushu, Japan erupted. Japanese media reported that the smoke column was as high as 3400 meters, which was the first time since April 2021 that the smoke height of Sakura island volcano exceeded 3000 meters. The Sakura island volcanic eruption triggered a level 3 alarm.
