Netease games explore face recognition technology to protect the healthy growth of minors

As one of the earliest game manufacturers to implement the anti addiction system in China, Netease Games has always paid attention to the network problems of minors, actively assumed corporate responsibility and devoted itself to the network security protection of minors. Based on its own technology accumulation, Netease games actively explore face recognition technology, further strengthen the defense line of minors' network security protection, further screen suspected minors, and avoid minors from using adult ID information to avoid anti addiction supervision. Netease Games has built a set of mature minors' identification model internally, and opened a special reporting portal for minors' problems externally. Netease games will have a professional operation team to quickly accept the pre judgment of content pre AI or after receiving the report information of "suspected minors" from external players, and carry out multi-dimensional identity verification for suspected minors. At that time, a number of intervention measures will be taken. In addition to actively exploring face recognition technology, Netease games also launched a parental care platform. In the winter holiday special action last year, the parent care platform realized iterative upgrading, which made it easier for parents to play with their children. Before exploring face recognition technology and building a parental care platform, Netease games set up a minors' protection center focusing on the issue of minors' network protection. The center has set up working groups such as user and policy research, anti addiction product development, minors' care, and network environment governance. Through comprehensive cooperation, the groups systematically build a working mechanism for the protection of minors to ensure the network security of minors in all dimensions.
