On July 3, Bloomberg reported that BYD has suspended plans to build a large factory in Mexico due to geopolitical tensions and the uncertainty caused by U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies. Li Ke, Executive Vice President of BYD, stated in an interview on Tuesday in Bahia, Brazil, that the company still intends to expand in the Americas, but there is no current timeline for new investments.
