Xiaomi Unveils XRING O100, a 1.22TB/s AI Accelerator for On-Device Models

Xiaomi（小米）has unveiled the XRING O100（玄戒O100）, a high-bandwidth AI accelerator designed for on-device large-model inference. Introduced at the company’s XRING chip technology briefing in Beijing on Aug. 24 alongside the XRING O3 and XRING D100, the chip is part of Xiaomi’s effort to extend its in-house silicon design from smartphones to AI computing and intelligent driving.

Harvey Builds Tenet on China’s Open-Weight Kimi K3

Harvey, the San Francisco-based legal-AI company used by more than 200,000 lawyers across 2,400 organizations, has introduced Tenet, its first post-trained open-weight model for legal work. The Aug. 20 research preview is built on Kimi K3, the open-weight foundation model released by Beijing-based Moonshot AI（月之暗面）, and was developed with AI-infrastructure company Fireworks.

XPeng Robotics Signs US$900M Financing Deal at US$6.3B Valuation

XPeng（小鹏）has signed agreements for a US$900 million financing of its robotics business, valuing the unit at more than US$6.3 billion on a post-money basis. The deal, announced on Aug. 24, is described by XPeng as the largest single private financing in China’s embodied-AI sector to date.

Brazil Unveils AI Infrastructure Plan Including Huawei-iFlytek Partnership

Brazil has announced a package of about R$2.3 billion (US$444 million) to expand national artificial-intelligence infrastructure, including a planned partnership with Huawei Technologies（华为）and iFlytek（科大讯飞）on an AI-computing initiative in Rio de Janeiro.
