China Satcom, founded in November 2011and headquartered in Beijing, provides communications, broadcasting and other fields of satellite space segment services. It is a core subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Corporation. The company went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on June 28, 2019. Its major shareholders are China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, China Aerospace Science and Technology Group and Hangtian Shenzhou Investment Management Company. China Satcom's direct and indirect competitors include AsiaSat, Hughes and Bharti Airtel.
