Zhejiang province is one of the major motorcycle production and export bases in China. In recent years, the motorcycle industry has accelerated its pace of "going global". Through niche market exploration, product innovation, and global diversified layout, it has demonstrated the resilience and development potential of "Made in China" in the global industrial chain. Customs statistics show that in the first two months of this year, Zhejiang exported 1.2 million motorcycles, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%.

The fundamental reason for the boom in motorcycle exports lies in the leap in global transportation demand. According to Google Traffic Index and Statista, in Southeast Asian markets such as Jakarta and Bangkok, the average daily congestion duration exceeds 3 hours. The commuting efficiency of motorcycles is 47% higher than that of cars, resulting in an annual demand for motorcycles of up to 6 million units in countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam.

Zhejiang has achieved remarkable results in motorcycle exports, accounting for 43% of the national total. Zhejiang has a strong industrial cluster effect. According to a survey by the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang, there are more than 2,000 component enterprises gathered in Luqiao District, Taizhou. Within a 10-kilometer radius, 95% of the components for a complete motorcycle can be purchased.
