As one of the top ten providers of intelligent manufacturing systems, in August 2020 Beiren was awarded the sixth Capek prize. Its founder gave a presentation at the ceremony.
The sixth Capek award ceremony has been held in Wuhu by the local government, Robot China (中国机器人网) and the Wuhu Binjiang Intelligent Equipment Industry Firm (芜湖滨江智能装备产业发展有限公司). Specifically, the Capek award is a confirmation of Beiren's innovative ability and contributions.
The founder of Beiren – Tao Lin – shared his views on intelligent manufacturing solutions in auto parts. Specifically, his firm aims to provide a customized robot production line, and its main downstream industry is the broader auto parts area. The sales volume of China's auto parts industry broke CNY 4 trillion in 2018, an increase of 7.1%. Benefitting from the stable downstream market, Beiren’s operating income showed a rising trend, from CNY 182.76 million to CNY 473.13 million, between 2016 to 2019.
Expect for the prosperous downstream industry, the high R&D is also the core competence involved in success for Beiren. Even during years with smaller operating incomes, Beiren kept increasing its R&D expenses, and the expense ratio increased from 2.57% to 5.55% from 2013 to 2015. Moreover, the recent five-year CAGR of R&D expense was about 64%.
