On June 21, 2021, the China Securities Regulatory Commission released the news that Syngenta China plans to launch an IPO on the China STAR market. According to a person who is family with the matter, CICC, BOC securities and CITIC Securities have signed listing guidance agreements with Syngenta.
Founded in June 2020, Syngenta China is transformed by the business integration of the agrochemical division of Sinochem Group. The parent company, Syngenta Group, is currently headquartered in Switzerland, with about 49,000 employees in more than 100 countries and regions. The company has four business segments, including Syngenta Crop Protection, Syngenta Seeds, Adama and Syngenta China.
In 2020, Syngenta's sales reached USD 23.1 billion, up 5% year-on-year, while its annual EBITDA reached USD 4 billion, up 3% year on year. Syngenta has now become the world's largest agricultural technology company in terms of revenue.
