On January 24th, under the supervision and maintenance of the Nantong Maritime Bureau, 80 domestically produced buses were orderly lifted onto the Liberian bulk carrier "Wanjue" and were about to depart for Saudi Arabia and Egypt. This is the first time that Lvsi Start up Port Area, a new port of Tongzhou Bay, has exported domestic buses on a large scale to the "the Belt and Road" countries, marking a new chapter of domestic manufacturers expanding business abroad.

The 80 domestically produced buses exported this time are provided by Ankai Bus, with a total value of nearly 6 million US dollars. Anhui Ankai Automobile Co., Ltd. was established in 1966 and is a listed company specializing in the production of various high, medium, and light buses, specialized vehicles, and automotive components. The company has multiple technology research and development centers and laboratories, and is a national high-tech enterprise. It has established sales and service outlets in various regions of the country, exporting to nearly 100 countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore, and has established a global sales network. It is understood that since the "the Belt and Road" initiative was first proposed in 2013, Ankai Bus has exported more than 10000 buses to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other countries along the line, and its products cover high-end passenger vehicle fields such as school buses, buses and service tourism, fully demonstrating the strength of "Made in China".

In addition to Ankai Company, which has outstanding overseas business performance, the departure port this time is also particularly noteworthy. Lvsi Start up Port Area, a new outlet of Tongzhou Bay, is a major landmark project to build a new gateway to the opening up of the "the Belt and Road" and a new hub for river sea intermodal transport in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It was officially opened in December 2021 and officially opened in October 2022. This port area is the first in Jiangsu Province to adopt 5G technology to achieve fully automated operations, providing a new logistics transportation channel for local container foreign trade transportation and providing new impetus for the development of overseas trade for enterprises.

The export of 80 Ankai company buses to Saudi Arabia and Egypt is another typical representative of China's progress in manufacturing overseas. In recent years, with the maturing of domestic manufacturing industrial chain and the improvement of internationalization capabilities, many manufacturing companies have begun to actively seek overseas growths. Expanding business overseas is becoming an important path for advanced domestic manufacturers to further achieve high-quality development.
