The 6th China (Indonesia) Home Lifestyle Exhibition held in Jakarta, Indonesia, closed on the 16th of this month. Chinese furniture and homeware manufacturers are interested in setting up factories in Indonesia after participating in an Indonesian trade show. The exhibition attracted more than 400 manufacturers from China, displaying a wide range of products from building materials to decorations.
Larissa Zhou, international manager of the Meorient exhibition, said: "We have received many requests about plans to move factories from China to Indonesia. For example, a Chinese aluminum alloy door and window company has discussed setting up a local factory with the Indonesian Building Materials Entrepreneurs Association (IPBBI) There are production plans, and there is also a plastic products company that wants to open a factory here.”
As a platform to promote bilateral cooperation, Meorient, as the organizer, also organizes business forums for manufacturers. Meorient will hold another similar trade show from June 4 to 7 this year and plans to host the same trade show at the end of November.
This exhibition is a platform for product display and an important opportunity to promote trade and bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Indonesia has a huge market of 270 million people. With the advancement of economic development and urbanization, consumer demand for quality life and household products is also growing. Chinese furniture manufacturing companies establishing factories in Indonesia can achieve better development and growth by making full use of opportunities in market potential, geographical advantages, and improved industrial chains.
