Stripe, an American online payment start-up, announced on Sunday that it had completed a new round of $600 million financing, with a company valuation of $95 billion. This makes stripe the most valuable private company ever created in Silicon Valley. Stripe said in a statement that the main investors in the round were Allianz and AXA subsidiaries, Baillie Gifford, Fidelity Management Research, Sequoia Capital and the Irish Treasury. The company said it would use the money to invest in its European operations, particularly its headquarters in Dublin, to support soaring demand and expand its global payment network.
