According to Reuters on September 24, TSMC, the global foundry leader, said today that it is actively supporting and cooperating with all relevant parties to overcome the global semiconductor shortage, after the company participated in a White House meeting on this issue. "TSMC has always been a strong partner in this effort and has taken unprecedented actions to meet this challenge," TSMC said in a statement. "We believe that our capacity expansion plan, including the advanced 5-nm semiconductor plant in Phoenix, Arizona, will enable us to support the industry and promote the long-term stability of semiconductor supply."
