JAKARTA, June 1 (Xinhua) -- The third domestically-made jet ARJ21 aircraft delivered by China Aircraft Leasing Group to Indonesia's Lingayas arrived in Jakarta on the evening of May 31. This is the first RMB cross-border settlement transaction for a domestic aircraft.
According to China Aviation Leasing, the aircraft was delivered to its subsidiary, Lingya Airlines, by way of leasing for export. In this project, China Aviation Leasing adopts RMB settlement at both the purchase and leasing ends, and the rental payment is cleared by domestic and foreign Chinese financial institutions in cross-border linkage.
Mr. Liu Wanting, President of CFI Leasing, said that CFI Leasing is committed to serving the domestic private aircraft going out, and at the same time continuously explores the application of cross-border RMB business in the aircraft leasing industry in the hope of contributing to promoting the further integration of China's aviation manufacturing industry and financial services industry in the international market.
Li Yaomin, vice chairman of TransNusa Airline, told reporters that the third ARJ21 will join the eastern Indonesia route network with two other aircraft of the same type to optimize the airline's flight network and services. At the same time, the aircraft adopts the latest navigation technology, flight safety will be further guaranteed.
It is understood that TransNusa Airlines is the first overseas user of the ARJ21 aircraft. 2023 April, the ARJ21 aircraft into the fleet of Lingya Airlines officially put into the commercial first flight. Up to now, ARJ21 has been operating stably in Indonesia for one year, maintaining a good record of zero accidents.
