Cydia, a jailbreak app store developer founded in 2008, said Apple "illegally cracked down on all competitors" to maintain the monopoly of the app store, depriving consumers of the right to choose IOS application channels and developers to choose distribution channels. The lawsuit, filed in a federal court in Oakland, California, is the latest to accuse apple of using market dominance to crush rivals such as Cydia. Cydia is on the verge of closure and could face bankruptcy. Apple said in the email that it would evaluate the case and said it did not monopolize the market.
