On August 10, Sohu announced its unaudited financial report for the second quarter of 2020. In the second quarter, Sohu’s revenue was USD 421 million, and brand advertising revenue was USD 38 million, an increase of 48% from the previous quarter. After deducting the impact of the one-time withholding income tax generated by Changyou's privatization transaction, the non-GAAP net profit attributable to Sohu is 11 million US dollars. After further deducting Sogou’s net loss, the non-GAAP net profit attributable to Sohu was USD 12 million, which turned losses into profits.
